About Us

We want our customers to receive the highest quality fabrication and installation. Attention to detail, craftsmanship and unsurpassed customer service is what Alpine Granite Accents puts into every project.

Husband and wife team Flora and Kasey Buoy opened Alpine Granite Accents in 2000. Kasey had always had an interest in working with stone, and they outgrew two Bitterroot Valley locations before they completed a new 7,500 square foot facility in 2005, designed to incorporate efficiency, state of the art equipment, and beautiful showroom.

This permanent location boasts state of the art cutting, shaping and finishing equipment. A gantry stone saw cuts the slabs into manageable pieces using diamond blades to cut the stone cleanly. An in-line polisher is capable of creating 10 different edge details; hand finishing by trained craftsmen is also available. A new Computer Numerical Control or CNC machine installed in 2007  allows Alpine Granite Accents to make precision cuts with an accuracy of .004 of an inch. Owner Kasey Buoy traveled to Minnesota for intensive training in the use of the CNC. An adjoining showroom allows clients to see full sized examples of kitchen, bath and furniture ideas.

Alpine Granite Accents is a member of the Bitterroot Chamber of Commerce, the Missoula Building Association, the Bitterroot Building Industry Association, the National Association of Homebuilders, the Marble Institute of American, and the National Federation of Independent Businesses. They are proud to have been named Montana Small Business Administration Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006.

Our Process

Each project, no matter how large or small, receives the same careful attention to detail from owners Kasey and Flora Buoy as well as their highly skilled crew. Every step of the custom fabrication process is checked and rechecked for accuracy and quality craftsmanship.

Don’t wait until the last minute to make this important decision. Alpine Granite Accents suggests that you shop for your slab three months in advance, to be sure you have time to explore all your options, find exactly what you’re looking for, allow sufficient time for delivery of the slab, custom templating, cutting, shaping, finishing and final installation.

Alpine Granite Accents insists on Grade A stone only, Slabs average 50 to 65 square feet of usable material and can weigh up to 1,000 pounds. Clients are charged for the finished work only, not waste material, so it is important for Alpine to estimate and order the proper amount. A 50% deposit puts your job on the schedule and allows Alpine Granite Accents to order your material.

Once your cabinetry is installed, Alpine Granite Accents makes a full size plastic template or a digital template using a lazer templating machine to ensure a perfect fit. Your project is created from this exact template; allow approximately two to three weeks time from template to installation.

A minimum of two trained craftsman properly install and add the final sealant (if necessary) to your stone surfaces.
