Finishes
The finish on your stone is the texture that you will feel every day. Different finishes work better on specific colors and varieties of stone.
Polished
Perhaps the most popular finish, a Polished surface is smooth to the touch and reflective.
Natural Stone and Quartz are offered in Polished finishes.
Honed
Honed surfaces are smooth to the touch. They have a matte finish, that is flat and soft to the eye.
Some Quartz lines offer colors in a “Suede” finish, this is very similar to Honed in texture.
Leathered
Leathered, or “Satin” stone can have various textures depending on the contents. Stones with many minerals may feel rougher, whereas others may feel more similar to a Honed finish.
Most Natural Stone varieties are available in a Leathered finish. Some Quartz varieties are available in what is called a “Concrete” finish, which is similar to Leathered.
